How to change list separator from semicolon to comma when saving CSV files

If, when opening your CSV file with Notepad, you see semicolons instead of commas separating columns you have to change your Windows region to English (United States) and, in the list separator, replace the semicolon with a comma.

Here you will learn how to change the list separator from semicolon to comma:
  1. Open the Start menu.
  2. Type control panel.
  3. Click on Control Panel (Desktop app).
  4. Select Clock and Region.
  5. Click Region.
  6. On the Region pop-up window, on the Formats tab, under the Format, change it to English (United States).
  7. Click Apply.
  8. Still on the Region pop-up window, select Additional settings...
  9. On the new pop-up window Customize Format, on the Numbers tab, change the List separator field to a comma.
  10. On the Measurement system field, select U.S. or Metric.
  11. Click Apply.
  12. Hit OK.
