myGroundForce displays toast notifications in the upper-right corner of the Dashboard to alert users about items that require attention.
These notifications appear:
Each notification includes a More details link that opens the related report.
Note: Closing a notification does not resolve the underlying issue.
Some notifications are displayed only after an item has expired, while others are shown before an event occurs.
The following notifications appear only when the expiration date has already passed:
| Notification | Display Rule |
|---|---|
| DOT Medical Expiration | DOT Medical Expiration Date is earlier than today's date. |
| CDL Expiration | CDL Expiration Date is earlier than today's date. |
| Annual Inspection | Annual Inspection Date is earlier than today's date. |
If today's date is July 15:
Important: The Dashboard notification does not use the advance warning notifications settings configured for SMS/Email Notifications. Those settings affect the SMS/Email Notifications but do not control the Dashboard toast notifications.
Scheduled Maintenance notifications are proactive and may appear before maintenance becomes overdue.
By default, a notification is displayed when either threshold is reached:
These thresholds are configurable per company.
An MMR notification is displayed when an active vehicle does not have a maintenance record for the previous month.
This is expected behavior when the item has not expired yet.
The orange Dashboard notification only displays expired DOT Medical, CDL, and Annual Inspection items. It does not display items that are approaching their expiration date.
For example:
To review upcoming expirations, use the corresponding expiration report.
| Notification Type | Warning Before Expiration | Warning After Expiration |
|---|---|---|
| DOT Medical Expiration | No | Yes |
| CDL Expiration | No | Yes |
| Annual Inspection | No | Yes |
| Scheduled Maintenance | Yes, based on configurable thresholds | Yes |
| Monthly Maintenance Record (MMR) | Yes, when the previous month's record is missing | Not applicable |
