Weekend Incentive – Per-Mile Split Configuration (Saturday and Sunday)

Weekend Incentive – Per-Mile Split Configuration (Saturday and Sunday)

Overview

The Weekend Incentive – Per-Mile Split Configuration allows companies to define how per-mile bonuses are applied on weekends.
This feature gives flexibility to set a single rate for the entire weekend or different rates for Saturday and Sunday, depending on how each company chooses to reward its drivers.

How It Works

The Weekend Incentive applies an additional payment per mile driven on weekend days.
There are two configuration options available:

1. Unified Rate

  • Uses the same per-mile rate for both Saturday and Sunday.

  • You only need to define:

    • Solo Trip ($/mile)

    • Team Trip ($/mile)

  • This option is suitable when the company pays the same amount for all weekend trips.

2. Per-Day Configuration

  • Allows separate values for Saturday and Sunday.

  • Each day can be enabled or disabled independently.

  • For each active day, you can set:

    • Solo Trip ($/mile)

    • Team Trip ($/mile)

  • At least one of the days (Saturday or Sunday) must remain active.

This option is useful when different per-mile rates are applied depending on the day or trip type.

Aditional Information

  • The system automatically identifies whether a trip occurred on Saturday or Sunday, based on the trip’s date.

  • The per-mile rate is multiplied by the number of miles driven to calculate the total weekend bonus.

  • The result is rounded to the nearest cent.

  • Other weekend incentive types, such as flat or tiered bonuses, follow their own separate configurations.

Summary

The Weekend Incentive – Per-Mile Split Configuration gives each company control over how weekend bonuses are structured.
It supports both a simple unified rate and a detailed per-day setup, making it adaptable to different pay policies while keeping the same calculation accuracy and consistency across all weekend runs.
