Weekend Incentive – Per-Day Configuration Tutorial

Weekend Incentive – Per-Day Configuration Tutorial

Overview

The Weekend Incentive feature allows companies to reward drivers for trips completed on Saturdays and Sundays.
The feature supports day-specific values for Solo and Team trips across all bonus types:

  • Flat Bonus (configured in Flat Rate Registries)

  • Tiered Bonus (configured in Payroll Settings)

  • Per-Mile Weekend Incentive (configured in Payroll Settings)

The system determines the trip day, applies the correct incentive, and stores detailed records for audit and reporting.

This tutorial explains how to configure, understand, and use the enhanced Weekend Incentive functionality, including Per-Mile incentives.

1. Where Weekend Incentive Settings Appear

Weekend Incentive settings may be defined in:

Payroll Settings

  • Entity Payroll Settings

  • Employee Payroll Settings

Flat Rate Registries

  • Linehaul

  • Spot

2. Bonus Types That Support Per-Day Weekend Logic

The system supports day-specific values for:

Flat Bonus

Solo and Team values defined in Flat Rate Registries.

All three bonus types respect the day of week and trip type when applying Weekend Incentive logic.

3. Configuration Modes

All bonus types that support Weekend Incentive offer two modes:

① Unified Rate Mode (Default)

Applies one value to both days.

② Per-Day Configuration Mode

Allows separate values for:

4. Configuring Weekend Incentive in Payroll Settings

Weekend Incentive appears in both Employee and Entity Payroll Settings.

When any Weekend Incentive type is enabled, users choose:

  • Per-Day Configuration

The screen updates dynamically without losing unsaved data.
